Notes before you start - All you will need is your UNO at home kit, a frying pan + a grill or oven! Your kit should be used either the day you receive it or the following day to ensure the dough is working at its best! Please refrigerate your kit when you receive it. Once refrigerated, it’s best to take the kit out + leave at room temp for about 30-40 mins before you start making your pizzas.
Set your frying pan up on high heat + preheat grill or oven to highest heat.
TIP - Leave frying pan dry, no oil needed
Cover your dough balls in the flour provided + dust some flour on your counter / table surface. Take the dough balls + press them out flat to make your pizza bases using the tips of your fingers. Start in the middle + gradually work your way out, leaving roughly a 2cm crust around the edge.
TIP - Dust excess flour off before placing in pan (more flour = more smoke)
Lay your pizza base flat in a dry frying pan (preferably non-stick) that has been on a high heat + is super hot. Get your dough into the right shape to roughly fill the base of your frying pan.
TIP - (If you have little helpers you can let them place the base + add toppings before heating the pan!)
Spread a thin layer of your UNO tomato sauce with the back of a spoon across the base, leaving a couple of centimetres around the edge for the crust. Add a pinch of parmesan, basil leaves + half of your portion of fior di latte mozzarella. If you’ve got extra toppings, add those too! Leave in frying pan on high heat.
Once the base of the pizza has browned (about 2 minutes), take the frying pan + place it on the highest shelf under the grill or highest shelf in your oven is ok too. Once the crust has taken on some colour (again about 2 minutes, grill / oven dependent, you may need to give it longer, just keep checking on it), then your pizza is ready to go.
TIP - Don’t burn yourself!
